Open the Side Bar

From the Plex home screen, press Left on the D-pad to reveal the side navigation bar. Then press Up to highlight your Profile icon at the top, and press Select to open it.

Tap Settings

On the profile screen, press Down to navigate to the Settings button. Press Select to open application settings and global media preferences.

Select Internet Streaming

In Settings, scroll down to the Video Quality section. Navigate to Internet Streaming (it may show "20 Mbps, 1080p HD" by default). Press Select to open the quality options.

Choose Maximum

Press Up to scroll to the very top of the quality list and select Maximum. This ensures Plex streams the original file without any transcoding — delivering the best possible picture and audio quality.

Verify
Confirm & Go Back

Verify that Internet Streaming now shows Maximum. Also ensure Home Streaming is set to Maximum. Press Back on your remote to return to the main menu. You're all set!

You're Done

Plex will now direct play your media at maximum quality — no transcoding, no compression. Enjoy the full resolution your library deserves.
